Basic First Aid for Horses TBA

HEART SOUL HORSES HELPING HUMANS is hosting HEART SOUL CONFIDENCE-BASED HORSEMANSHIP™ for this full day course.

All proceeds will go to Heart Soul Horses Helping Humans, Inc a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

 What you will learn:

✅ How to take the basic vital signs on our horses and what those normal values should be.
✅ How to recognize symptoms with your horse and be able to determine when it's time to call the vet.
✅ Colic: How to help prevent it and how to listen for guts sounds to be sure your horse isn’t on their way to colic and some simple and powerful things to do help them.
✅ How to apply safe and simple wraps and how to treat wounds to get the best results for healing.
✅ Introduction to essential oils and some acupressure points that can be safely applied and help to prevent symptoms from becoming a full blown emergency.
✅ What should be in a general first aid kit to carry with you on the trail or back country, and how to perform emergency first aid on the trail.
This course will be lecture in the morning and hands-on learning in the afternoon.
Each participant will receive a binder of everything we learn in the course.
Cindy Hartzell, founder of Heart Soul Confidence-Based Horsemanship™ and husband; Bruce Hartzell, DVM will be teaching the workshop. Cindy has had horses all of her life and has been a veterinary technician for over 30 years. Bruce Hartzell has been a veterinarian for 42 years. Together they currently own a veterinary practice.

Class is a full day with an hour for lunch
