Basic First Aid for Horses (TBA)
This full day course will cover how to take the basic vital signs on our horses and what those normal values should be.
How to recognize symptoms with your horse and be able to determine when it's time to call the vet.
Colic: How to help prevent it and how to listen for guts sounds to be sure your horse isn’t on their way to colic and some simple and powerful things to do help them.
Learn what should be in a general first aid kit to carry with you on the trail or back country, and how to perform emergency first aid on the trail.
This course is lecture in the morning and hands-on learning in the afternoon.
